Harbor freight table saws

Harbor Freight Table Saws?

Yep, going to buy a table saw soon to compliment my 97% done huge workbench. Weekly, I get emails from Harbor Freight for different percent off. Would anybody here buy a table saw from here. I like the store, but don't know about their power tools. It's very hard to pass on these 20% percent off coupons. What do you guys think? One word...parts availability...well, two words. I don't mind buying small items from them, especially with the 20% coupons. I like them, too. But a big money item, I'm not sure if it is worth it in the long run. Plus, shipping would eat up the 20% plus some. If it's something that will get light use then go for it. If you use it a lot forget it. I bought a 10 ton press from there and have been very happy with it but know a few guys that buy their power tools from there and use them heavily and they call them disposables. I know there's always the pro everyday use and hobbyist use quality issues debate But that aside, and keeping in mind I've got more than a few occasional use HF tools in the van (used professionally ) I'd have to say as far as table saws, I don't think you'll be satisfied with them Anything more delicate then deck work is really pushing it with those That being said, if my bro-in-law with the garage full of used-once tools wanted a suggestion for a table saw to build a deck....I could recommend them highly I buy some things from HF but mostly hand tools. Seems the bearings on power tools are the first thing to go. Saw this with a metal chop saw and even the guide bearings on a Porta band saw. I have bought name brand (reconditioned) from them and had great results. Bought the deep well impact sockets on sale for $10 and have never had a problem. Good luck. why not look for a quaility used saw ? I currently have a delta cabinet saw I bought used for 75.00 been around the block a few times , not pretty to look at but a sweet saw to use . nicest fence I 've ever used . (it evan came with a fairly new 80.00 blade ) I would be concerned with blade run out on the harbor freight one I'm not concerned with shipping costs, as I have a Harbor Freight 15 miles north of me and 20 miles south (by my work). I was thinking about it more and everyone's probably right. Maybe I should stick with the more available part saws. A buddy of mine has an air powered impact wrench he got from there. He hasn't had any issues with it yet and has had it for over a year. Maybe I'll just get one of those....it'll give me practice to see if I can change my wife's tires in under 20 seconds. They just sound toooo cool not to have one. See.....there I go again, finding excuses to by a new tool. Hi, my name is Rapture and I'm a tool addict Say it with PRIDE, son!!! Poorly machined trunnions, cheap rip fence, nasty looking miter gauge. Spend a couple hundred more and get some thing you can actually used for precision Im not a tool snob, but this saw is not worth all the upgrading you would have to do to it to make it work right. Be careful of their sales. My local HF store advertised a table saw at a good price, but it did not include a blade!
