Mix A Massage Oil & Essential Oil

Massage oil helps remove knots and tension from your body.

Getting a massage with massage oil is a luxurious and decadent experience. The lubrication provided by the oil can help a masseuse rub knots out from under your skin, releasing tension and helping you relax. To make the whole experience even more pleasing to your senses, you can mix an essential oil into your massage oil. Essential oils are oils scented by the fruit, flower, or herb that the oil is named after; they are used in perfumes, beauty products, and even flavorings. Combining the two different kinds of oil allows a basic massage oil to become an aromatherapy oil that makes you feel relaxed, loose, and stress-free.

Instructions

1. Warm the massage oil in the pot on the stove on low heat, stirring constantly.

2. Add in 3 drops of aromatherapy oil after 5 minutes. Bring the spoon close to your nose and smell the oil. If the scent isn't strong enough, add three more drops. Stir. Smell again. Continue adding drops until you are satisfied with the scent.

3. Continue stirring for 5 more minutes. Remove from stove and allow the oil to cool to room temperature.

4. Siphon the massage oil into a plastic bottle with a lid. Consider using something like a small water bottle that can be opened easily. Keep it stored in a cool, dry place that does not get a lot of sunlight, such as a cabinet in an air-conditioned room. You do not want oil to be stored anywhere that will reach over 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
