What Is In A First Aid Box

A first aid box should never be too far from reach. Camping equipment should always include a first aid box. Cars and boats should also be equipped with kits. If you decide to create your own kit, make sure it includes the following vital ingredients, as well as a manual. It is advisable to read the manual before an emergency happens.

Latex Gloves

Keep 2 pairs of latex gloves to protect from infections. Always wear gloves when you come in contact with a person who is bleeding.

Bandages

Stock your kit with sterile bandages of various sizes.

Antiseptic

Antiseptic is used to clean open wounds and help fight against infection and disease-causing organisms.

Triangular Bandage

A triangular bandage is also known as a sling. Use this to limit the movement of a strained or broken arm.

Tweezers

A pair of tweezers is used to pull splinters or other small objects from the victim's skin.

Moistened Towelettes

Towelettes are useful for cleaning blood or dirt from the skin. You should also use them to clean your hands after treating the victim.
