Remove Muscle Knots With Pressure Points

Remove Muscle Knots

All sorts of things cause muscle knots in our everyday lives. They can result from exercising too hard, working too much, sleeping in an unusual position, or stress. Whatever the reason, you can remove muscle knots with the help of pressure points. They can provide relief anywhere and anytime. All you need to know is where they are.

Instructions

1. Remove muscle knots in the neck by pressing the pressure points on the sides of the spine. They run along the muscles of the neck from the shoulders all the way up to the base of the skull. Squeeze these pressure points inward and move your fingers in a circular motion. Be careful not to press directly on the spine. This will cause pain and can be dangerous.

2. Remove muscle knots in the back by pressing the pressure points along the sides of the spine. As in the neck, these line the muscles on both sides of the backbone. Apply pressure in a firm, circular motion. As with the neck, be careful not to apply pressure directly on the spine.

3. Remove muscle knots in the foot by pressing the pressure points along the arch of the foot. These are located on the underside of the foot. Start with the pressure point directly beneath the ball of the foot. Gradually work down along the arch of the foot. This is where most muscle knots in the foot occur.

4. Remove muscle knots in the hand by pressing the pressure point in the webbing of the hand. This is the fleshy part between the thumb and index finger. Muscle knots in the hand often occur while working long hours on a computer. Shake out your fingers and press the point until the knot is gone.

5. Remove muscle knots in the arm by pressing the pressure points in the arm muscles. The best one is located on the side of the arm just above the elbow. Work your way up until you reach the shoulder then back down. In the forearm, press the pressure points on the top of the forearm from the elbow down to the hand.

6. Remove muscle knots in the leg by pressing the pressure points in the leg muscles. Muscle knots in the thigh can be removed by applying firm pressure to the side of the thigh muscle halfway between the hip and the knee. Remove muscle knots in the calf by pressing the pressure points in the back of the calf and pulling your toes back toward your knee.
