Sea Salt Detox Master Cleanse Recipe

For those who've decided to use the Master Cleanse diet, an important part of the strategy is the Sea Salt Water Flush, which is known in Master Cleanse circles as simply the "SWF." The flush, which helps push toxins out of your system, is extremely simple to make and use.

The Recipe

According to the Master Cleanse website, making the Sea Salt Water Flush is relatively simple. Take a one-liter jug, which is called a "chuggable" because it's recommended that you chug the salt-water mixture down instead of sipping at it, and fill it full of room-temperature water. Fill a tablespoon with organic sea salt. Do not use iodized salt. Mix the salt with the water.

Drinking the Water

Avoid sipping the water since it could make you gag with its extreme salty taste. Instead, try to drink it all as quickly as possible.

How the Salt Water Flush Works

Because salt water cannot be absorbed by the body, hence why those who are stranded in the ocean often dehydrate after drinking sea water, your body just pushes the solution out. This, according to Master Cleanse, helps rid the body of toxins and keeps solid material from clogging up the internal bowel system.
