Make Homemade No Sew Purses

Make your own purse without the hassles of sewing.

Needle-free sewing, or non-sewing, makes it easier for people to construct fabric items without the use of needles and thread. These types of techniques work for small fashion accessories like handbags, and home essentials, as well. Knowing make a no-sew purse isn't too difficult, and gives you the opportunity to experiment with your creative side while choosing your own materials with which to construct your purse.

Instructions

1. Cut a segment of fabric measuring 12 inches long and 12 inches tall. Choose a fashionable fabric that you find desirable. Cut a piece of sheer fabric of the same size for lining that matches these measurements.

2. Spread the first square of fabric out before you, facing upward. Squeeze a line of glue along all of its edges. Layer the sheer segment of fabric over the first and press firmly. Let the adhered fabrics dry together for 10 minutes.

3. Fold the fabric in half from the bottom. Squeeze a line of glue along the outer edges of the folded part of the fabric.

4. Fold the fabric inward by 3 inches at each side, adhering the edges to the glued edges of the folded part of the fabric. This creates a pouch with a flap.

5. Open the flap. Squeeze a line of glue along a 4-inch segment of velcro. Adhere the strip to the top edge of the inside of the flap. Glue the other strip of velcro along the top edge of the outside of the folded part of the purse. This allows the flap to connect and shut.
