Home Bowel Cleanse Recipes

If a body is clean internally and externally, it is thought to be healthy. In the same way you keep your home neat and your hair clean, the interior of your body should not be overlooked. A colon cleanse can be done safely and easily at home, helping to rid the body of toxins and benefiting overall health.

Our Toxic Environment

With so many toxic elements and pollutants in our modern day environment, your body is under attack daily, even without your knowledge. Examples of this are when the body suffers from an unusual pain or ache.

Whether it's a stomach ache, bad breath or headache, the presence of parasites and toxins in the body are shown through these ailments. A colon cleanse is one popular way of remedying these issues and assisting in the healthy function of your body.

Why Cleanse?

A colon cleanse is the term used to assist the body's natural drainage system. If this system becomes blocked, many health problems can occur. While attempting to cleanse the colon, expensive medication isn't necessary, and it can be done in the privacy of your home. In order to begin homemade therapy, it is important to follow a strict schedule and have the time to devote to the cleanse.

Common Colon Cleanse Ingredients

The first step in any colon cleanse is to incorporate a lot of roughage (lettuce, bran) into your diet. This encourages the cycle of bowel movements and helps to reduce fats accumulated by the body.

Next, you must remember to drink a lot of water. This is essential to keeping the body hydrated and helping to lubricate your organs.

Herbs also are common ingredients in colon cleansing. These herbs have been included in colon cleansing recipes tested for centuries. These popular herbs are aloe leaf, senna, cayenne pepper, ginger, fennel seed, cascara sagrada and garlic.

Colon cleanses usually contain some part of a bitter element to promote bile flow from the liver. This is also an important part of the detoxification. Fennel seed and garlic help kill unwanted bacteria and work to prevent gas formation. These other herbs kill parasites, while improving the regular function of colon muscles.

The Importance of Fiber

While embarking on a colon cleanse, you must remember to consume fiber in the form of whole wheat, barley, oats and granola. These foods provide energy and work to strengthen the digestive system.
