Soften Callouses With Ghee

Ghee butter is popular in India for cooking, but it also makes a great, all-natural foot treatment.

Ghee is a form of butter that has been clarified, which means that it does not have any milk particles or water. It is used by many people to soften their hands and feet. Particularly if you suffer from hard callouses on your feet that crack and bleed when you try to trim them, treating your feet with a ghee rub can sooth your damaged feet and enable you to trim or buff callouses away without harming your feet further. In this article, we will discuss soften callouses with ghee.

Instructions

1. Blend the shea butter and ghee together over low heat. You will need to stir constantly to make sure that the mixture does not scorch while the ghee is melting. As soon as the mixture is blended you can move on.

2. Massage a small amount of your mixture into each foot. You should use about a tablespoon for each foot. Focus on your toes, heels and the bottoms of your feet. Rub the ghee lotion in thoroughly.

3. Coat the toes and bottom of each foot with the remainder of the ghee lotion. It does not matter if you rub it all in as long as your feet are thoroughly coated.

4. Put on the cotton ankle socks. These will help lock in the moisture and keep your feet warm while the ghee works on your callouses.

5. Let the lotion soak into your feet for about 60 minutes. After an hour has passed you can groom your feet and work on your callouses without fear of cracking or bleeding.
