Use Gymnema

Gymnema sylvestre is an herb that has been used in India as an anti-diabetes drug. The active ingredient is gymnemic acid, which has a similar molecule structure to glucose. It bonds to receptor sites delaying the activation of glucose. This happens both in the mouth and intestine - responsible for the blood sugar. It is also reported to reduce the craving for sugar. Gymnema can be used as a diuretic and laxitive. One study showed the great sugar control powder of gymnema in 22 diabetes patients. 400mg was administered for 18 to 20 months. The patients showed a significantly reduced blood glucose. Five of the patients were able to stop their conventional drugs and control their glucose by gymnema alone.
