Make Your Own Hydrogen Peroxide Teeth Gel At Home

Teeth naturally become dulled and stained over the years, even with proper dental care. Professional whitening can cost hundreds of dollars, and at-home treatments are quite costly as well. You can make a simple whitening gel at home with products that you likely already have. Using a homemade teeth-whitening gel is an effective way to achieve a bright smile without spending money on professional treatments or store-bought remedies.

Instructions

1. Mix 1 tsp. of baking soda with 3 drops of glycerin in a cup until a paste forms. Glycerin is available in most grocery stores and pharmacies.

2. Add 2 tbsp. of hydrogen peroxide to 1 cup of water in a glass and stir with a spoon. Higher concentrations of hydrogen peroxide will produce quicker whitening results. Hydrogen peroxide is usually available in stores in three percent and 12 percent concentrations.

3. Wet a toothbrush with the hydrogen peroxide solution, then dip it in the baking soda paste. Brush your teeth vigorously, re-wetting the brush in the hydrogen peroxide solution periodically.

4. Rinse out your mouth using the remaining hydrogen peroxide solution. Perform the whitening procedure at least three times per week until the desired results are achieved.
