Equate Instructions

Use an Equate HPT to find out whether you're pregnant.

Home pregnancy tests all work on the same principle: paper embedded with certain chemicals will react to hormones in a pregnant woman's urine. The Equate home pregnancy test, or HPT, is sold exclusively at Walmart and Super Walmart stores. It is chemically identical to national brands of HPT, and works in exactly the same way. Use the Equate home pregnancy test if you've missed a period and want to know whether you're pregnant.

Instructions

1. Unwrap the Equate HPT. Hold the tip of the Equate in your stream when you are urinating.

2. Place the Equate HPT on the counter and allow the chemicals to react.

3. Look at the indicator section of the HPT. You will see a circle- and a square-shaped depression. If you have taken the test correctly you will see a red or pink line in the square. This indicates that the test is working.

4. Wait 10 minutes, leaving the test alone and untouched.

5. Hold the Equate HPT in front of you at about the distance you would hold a book. Look in the round depression. If you see a red or pink line, you are pregnant. If there is no line at 10 minutes, you are not pregnant or you have tested too early.
