Prevent Liver Spots

Aging is sometimes not as graceful and golden as other people make it look (especially in commercials). Aside from the various medical problems you’ll be facing, there is also the issue of the aesthetic tolls of aging, such as wrinkles and liver spots. While a cure for aging has yet to be discovered, there are certain things you can do to prevent the dreaded liver spots from popping up.

Instructions

Prevent Liver Spots

1. Stay indoors as much as possible. The sun is damaging to your skin. Make sure you protect yourself by wearing clothing to block the sun or by applying sunscreen all over, including your face and neck.

2. Get your hands on some antioxidants. Antioxidants help to diffuse the build-ups that will eventually deposit themselves on your skin in the form of a liver spot. Green tea and blueberries are two of the strongest antioxidants but, if they don’t suit you, there are many others to choose from.

3. Give your skin vitamins. This can be done through supplements or a moisturizer. Moisturizer is recommended to go along with sunscreen to keep skin moist and healthy.

4. Beware: Be careful of the products you use before going into the sun. Some cosmetic products such as perfumes, aftershaves and shaving creams may dry out the skin and leave it weakened to the harmful UV rays from the sun. If you’re going out into the sun you may want to avoid the sweet smelling stuff with alcohol in it. Try to find a lotion or sunscreen that has a favorable smell.

5. Keep your skin protected all year round. The summer isn’t the only time the sun comes out. In the cooler months, it’s easier to protect your skin with longer clothing, but still be mindful that the sun can harm you. If you live in higher elevations, the sun's damage to your skin will be increased, so take extra precautions.
