Make Homemade Ointment

You can make ointments to soothe both babies and adults.


There are several ointments available for purchase at drug stores and supermarkets across the United States. Many of these store bought ointments contain ingredients that can irritate the skin, and may even cause an allergic reaction. You can make ointments at home with natural, safe ingredients to treat ailments a baby's diaper rash and the aching joints of an adult.


Instructions


Diaper rash ointment








1. Pour one half cup almond oil and three drops lavender oil in a medium size bowl.


2. Place three drops tea tree oil and four tablespoons of water in the bowl. Stir the ingredients well.


3. Place the diaper rash ointment in a jar. Use on the rash as needed.


Sore muscle ointment


4. Mix eight ounces sesame oil, one half teaspoon camphor essential oil, and five drops peppermint essential oil in a medium size bowl.


5. Add one teaspoon menthol crystals and five drops rosemary essential oil to the bowl.








6. Blend the ingredients together with a hand mixer.


7. Store the homemade muscle rub in a jar and use as needed.
