Reduce Cortisol Levels With Homeopathy

Elevated cortisol levels have a negative effect on many parts of the human body. Prolonged elevated levels of cortisol can damage the immune system and bones and lead to fertility problems. Most people probably know that stress creates elevated cortisol levels in the body, but it is not the only thing that raises levels. Pain is also a major factor in elevated cortisol levels. If your cortisol levels are elevated, it is important to find ways to reduce your levels. Homeopathy offers several ways to bring cortisol levels down.

Instructions

1. Take herbs like Siberian ginseng or rhodiola rosea. These herbs naturally keep cortisol levels at a midrange, which means they can either lower or raise cortisol levels depending on the needs of your body.

2. Try a soy lecithin supplement. Studies have shown soy lecithin supplements are effective in reducing cortisol levels.

3. Get lots of vitamin C. The effects of vitamin C on cortisol levels have been studied, and vitamin C has been proven to lower cortisol levels. If you don't get enough vitamin C in your diet, take a supplement.

4. Include Omega-3 in your diet. Omega-3 comes mainly from fish. If you don't eat fish, try a fish oil supplement. There are also some eggs that have Omega-3.

5. Get enough B5 and folic acid in your diet. B5 and folic acid regulate the adrenal gland function, which is the gland that produces cortisol. B5 comes from beans, lean meat, poultry, fish and whole grains. Folic acid can be found in beans, peas, sunflower seeds, vegetables, fruits like melons and oranges and peanut butter.

6. Drink sarsaparilla and licorice root teas. Sarsaparilla and licorice root have both been proven to elevate mood and to reduce stress, which, in turn, lowers cortisol levels.
