Troubleshoot A Kaz Vicks Vaporizer

The Kaz Vicks Vaporizer is a home appliance that sends steam into the air to alleviate cough and congestion caused by sinus problems or allergies. Included in the vaporizer is an automatic shut-off feature that halts steam creation when the water level in the device drops to a certain point. If your vaporizer does not produce steam, it may require cleaning to restore functionality, as the device may be overfilled or contain high amounts of salt in the water container.

Instructions

1. Unplug the Kaz Vicks Vaporizer and wait for the vaporizer to cool down before removing the steam unit. Twist the steam unit on top of the device to align the arrows.

2. Lift the steam unit from the vaporizer and set it aside. Pour out the water and wash out the container. Dry it with a clean cloth. Soak the steam unit in a small bowl filled with 4 inches of white vinegar for 10 minutes.

3. Place your finger on the bottom of the steam unit. Fill the steam unit with warm water and shake the steam unit. Remove your finger from the bottom of the steam unit to empty the water.

4. Fill the water container with cool tap water to the line inside of the container, and then add four pinches of salt to the water.

5. Place the steam unit back into the vaporizer, and hold down the steam unit for 10 seconds.

6. Set the vaporizer on a firm, flat surface at least 4 feet away from you. Plug in the vaporizer's power cable, and then press the power button on the vaporizer to turn it on.
