Reduce Stress To Prevent Autoimmune Disorders

Autoimmune diseases include conditions such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Unfortunately, there isn’t a cure for such conditions. Moreover, sufferers have to adjust their lifestyle and learn deal with muscle aches and tiredness. Although autoimmune diseases randomly affect people, physicians have pinpointed stress as a trigger. Therefore, stress reduction is your best defense against an autoimmune disease.

1. Learn say, “no.” Sometimes, we bring unnecessary stress on ourselves. If you want to eliminate stress, you’ve got to learn say “no,” and stick with your decision. Rather than appease everyone and overwhelm yourself, limit your commitments.


2. Create a to-do-list. If you have too much on your plate, and you don’t know manage everything, make a daily list.


3. Adopt a one-day-at-a-time attitude. Excessive worrying can create stress and contribute to autoimmune diseases. Instead of focusing on tomorrow’s problems and yesterday’s mistakes, live for each day.


4. Delegate your duties to other people. You don’t have to be a superwoman or man. Whether it’s at home, school or work, ask for help and don’t be afraid to re-assign your tasks.


5. Accept things you can’t control. It doesn’t make sense to sit and whine about things you can’t change or control. It’s okay to feel sad or disappointment. Rather than complain or moan, move on with your life.


6. Set aside time to relax. If you keep a hectic schedule, you’re likely to feel stressed and swamped. To prevent burn-out and lower your odds of developing an autoimmune disease, reserve time for rest every day. Take a bath, read a book or get a massage.
