Strap A Knee

When a knee is weak or injured, it's best to wrap it so that it will have support when walking. This can be done without the elaborate wrap that you see some people wearing. Although the fully covered wrap has its purposes, it's not always necessary to go to those lengths. A sprain or even an ACL injury doesn't need too much strap to give the support required. This particular technique can also be used to prevent injury during sports practices.

Instructions

1. Wrap the bandage in a full circle around the leg above the knee. Cut the bandage and make sure it's secure and tight, but not so much as to cut off any circulation.

2. Start a second bandage at the top of the knee, taking it down at a diagonal--in the back of the knee up--down to just below the knee.

3. Without cutting the bandage, wrap it once around the base of the knee and then back up the back of the knee at another diagonal to the other side of the top bandage.

4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 in a slightly off position so that the second strap overlays part of the first.

5. Once done, wrap the strap around the top of the knee again so that the straps will be secure.
