Stretching your spine can make you appear taller.
Stretching cannot actually make you grow taller in that no new tissue is formed, but it can stretch your spine and adjust your posture to allow you to stand straighter and decompress your spine. This is possible because without stretching, gravity causes a slight slouch in the spine that stretching can reverse.
Hanging
As gravity is what causes you to appear shorter than you may actually be, the best way to reverse this forced slouch is by using gravity in a different way. The best way to do this is by having gravity pull your legs down while your upper body remains stationary. You can do this by hanging from something like a pull-up bar. You can find appropriate bars in most gyms or playgrounds.
Land Swimming
This exercise is named after its resemblance to swimming while lying on the floor. First you must lie down on a flat floor and stretch your arms in front of you. Lift your left arm and your right leg off the ground by just a few inches. Hold them there for around four seconds. Return them to the floor and then repeat with the other arm and leg. Repeat this several times to stretch your leg, back and arm muscles.
Pelvic Shift
A pelvic shift is a very simple exercise that stretches the muscles in your back and strengthens your legs, both of which can improve your posture and make you somewhat taller. Lie on your back and draw your legs towards you so that your feet are flat on the floor but your knees are in the air. Arch your back and hold it up using the strength in your legs. Your arms and hands should remain flat on the floor.
Yoga
Yoga is a system of stretches called asanas as well as a complex philosophy that may or may not be included depending on where you learn it. These stretches are often beneficial in strengthening and stretching various muscles involved in keeping your posture at its best and its straightest. This involves strengthening the abs and opening the hips.
