Increase Sperm Counts
About 40 percent of couples suffer from some form of infertility, and low sperm count is often involved. Diet, health, physical activity, medications, and/or physical problems can all contribute to low sperm count. Eliminating the things you can control will help increase your sperm count.
Instructions
increase sperm count
1. Get an exam. A physical evaluation will eliminate cases of low sperm count because of blockage of the vas deferens (the tube that transports sperm), an infection or a problem with sperm motility (the ability for sperm to move about).
2. Research your medication. Know the side effects of your medication and ask your doctor if they can contribute to low sperm count. Don't assume your doctor knows that low sperm count is a concern of yours.
3. Eat healthy every day. Eating a healthy diet is important for cell reproduction and repair. There are vitamin supplements that can help increase sperm count. Zinc helps with sperm motility, and vitamins C and E are antioxidants. Amino acids from the protein in your diet helps with the production of sperm. A balanced diet of lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables will ensure adequate amounts of all the necessary vitamins and minerals your body needs. Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol and excessive amounts of caffeine.
4. Exercise daily. Being in good physical health provides a healthy environment for sperm. Avoid activities that could cause injury to the testicle area.
5. The testicle area should be kept cool. Avoid whirlpools, saunas and tight-fitting clothes, especially tight underwear. Avoid sitting for long stretches of time, as it allows heat to build up in the area.
6. You should limit ejaculations to every three days to allow for a higher density of semen to accumulate.
