Pierce Your Belly Button

Pierce Your Belly Button

Navel piercings are very common these days. Some people choose to do it themselves, for a number of reasons, rather than going to a professional, which is the preferred option. If you choose to do it yourself, here's pierce your belly button.

Instructions

1. Research the piercing as much as you can to determine you are sure that you want it and be certain that you want to do the piercing yourself before you attempt this. Gather the items that you will need and continue to Step 2. Do not substitute any items on this list.

2. Wash your hands and put the gloves on. This is to ensure that everything stays clean and sterile.

3. Cleanse the area with the alcohol pad to make sure it is free from bacteria. In front of a mirror, mark the desired placement area with your body ink marker. Mark the point of insertion from the top, and mark the area where you want the piercing to be on the bottom.

4. Clamp the area with your desired mark in the center, to keep the skin taut and make sure your angle is correct. Check your placement and markings once more to be sure.

5. Place the needle through on the point you marked. Push through. The painful part is over! Push with even pressure and avoid hesitation.

6. Thread the jewelry through the back of the needle and push to remove the needle to allow the jewelry to take its place.

7. Secure the ends of the jewelry snugly to ensure that the jewelry will stay in place. You're done. Follow after care instructions (in tips section below) and you can expect your piercing to heal within 6 to 12 weeks.
