Brush With Sonicare

Sonicare, a division of Phillips Electronics, manufactures several dozen models of electric toothbrushes that use sonic vibrations to clean the teeth and gums. Sonicare's specially designed electronics and brush heads work together to to gently abrade the teeth and create a powerful, swirling action of toothpaste that is pushed and into and through all crevices. The small heads and angled neck profile allows the vibrating brush head to easily be placed against all of the curving surfaces of the mouth. The vibration effect allows the tooth brush to only be placed in a gently resting position against the teeth and gumline for effective cleansing. Some newer Sonicare models have a timed beeping device that tells you when to move to the next area of the mouth but most do not so a 10-second segment count can help make for a thorough cleaning of at least two minutes.

Instructions

Apply Toothpaste

1. Apply a small amount of toothpaste onto the brush head, approximately the size of two peas.

2. Place the brush in your mouth and then turn it on. Run the brush lightly along the inner and outer diameter of both the upper and lower gum lines pausing for at least 10 seconds at each brush length interval.

3. Run the brush over the top and bottom flat surfaces of the teeth and along the faces of all of your teeth, again pausing for at least 10 seconds for each brush length interval.

4. Rinse the mouth well with fresh water and spit. Rinse brush head in clean running water and place back in the charging cradle.
