Cellulite is different from normal body fat because it is not found in a smooth layer underneath the skin. Cellulite is caused by fat deposits that become trapped in a web of connective tissue that is found directly beneath the skin's surface, called adipose tissue. Cellulite also only appears in the belly, neck, breasts, buttocks and thighs. Cellulite does not discriminate based on age or sex, although it is much more predominant in women. There are ways to combat the lumpy skin caused by cellulite in your upper thighs.
Instructions
1. Drink at least two liters of water each day. You may need to drink more if you plan to increase the frequency of your exercise workouts, or if you live in a warmer climate.
2. Avoid coffee and soda that contain caffeine. Caffeine makes the body retain water, which promotes cellulite.
3. Walk instead of riding in a car, when possible. Poor circulation in the thighs can cause cellulite to remain right where it is.
4. Eat a diet that is rich in Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps the body rid itself of the toxins that build up and cause cellulite. Vitamin C can be found in foods such as broccoli, strawberries, oranges, and cauliflower. Try to eat three servings of Vitamin C each day.
5. Practicing Yoga is also a way to help increase circulation to your lower extremities, which will help reduce the amount of cellulite found in your thighs.
6. Weight training will help pump up your metabolism, which will stop any excess fat from strong in your thighs, which will cut down on cellulite.
7. Stay away from greasy, fried foods. Grease is fat, and will cause more cellulite.
