Remove Glue From Hands

Super glue is a very powerful glue which can be extremely useful. However, it can be equally troublesome when you get it on your fingers. Hasty removal efforts can lead to irritation or even the loss of several layers of skin. It is important to take proper care and to slowly work to remove the glue from your skin. If such care is taken, you can speed up the glue-removal process with the appropriate solutions.

Instructions

1. Work your fingers back and forth gently if two two fingers have become stuck together. Simply pulling your fingers apart as hard as you can will likely lead to tearing of skin. If slowly breaking the bond isn't enough to separate, do not try and pull your fingers apart. Apply the methods in later steps for removing glue on the skin.

2. Wait for glue on the surface of your skin to come off naturally with your dead skin if the glue is not binding skin to skin and not causing irritation. This is the best way to ensure no damage is done.

3. Peel any flaking glue carefully if it comes off freely. Stop pulling if the glue starts to tug strongly on the skin.

4. Apply hand lotion to the glue.

5. Prepare a mixture of soap and water and gently scrub at the glue. You can repeat the process of Steps 4 and 5 as long as it is effectively removing glue and not causing irritation.

6. Apply nail polish remover--which includes acetone--to stubborn glue to weaken the bond. Check the ingredients of the remover, as not all polish removers use acetone.
