Use Projection In Kundalini Yoga

Use Projection In Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is an ancient system of Yoga practices that revitalize the whole being and center the person on the path to Self realization. Kundalini Yoga engages the practices of asanas, breath, mantra, meditation and relaxation. The use of mantra in Kundalini Yoga is a creative projection of the mind through sound that open the chakras and enables the free flow of energy throughout the person.

Instructions

1. Explore the science of mantra, which is based on the fact that sound is energy. This energy affects the chakras and the whole person. Brain chemistry and the nervous system are affected by mantra or sound projection in Kundalini Yoga. One's perceptions alter with the use of mantra.

2. Open the flow of energy through your chakras with the proper use of mantra. Chant AUM before Kundalini class. Lifting eyes upward, as if looking into the middle of your forehead. Softly sound the AUM and "see" it as it emerges from the center of your forehead. AUM is sounded as a long "OHHHH" and is followed by "MMMMM". Sound AUM in one breath. You may repeat it as many times as suits you.

3. Chant, "Adi Shakti, Adi Shakti, Adi ShaktiI, Namo Namo, Sarab Shakti, Sarab Shakti, Sarab Shakti, Namo Namo, Prithum Bhagawati, Prithum Bhagawati Prithum BhagawatiI, Namo Namo, Kundalini, Mata Shakti, Mata Shakti, Namo Namo." Known as the First Shakti Mantra, these sound projections reach the frequency of the Divine Mother. This is a powerful mantra of protection.

4. Release energy into the heart chakra by chanting, "Hum dum har har." This translates as "We the universe, God, God."

5. Practice mantra, the Yoga of Mind, to create sound projections that increase awareness and God-consciousness. A mantra is Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Jeeo, which means "The ecstasy of consciousness is my beloved."
