Does Peppermint Oil Work on Getting Rid of Mice?
Homeowners know that getting rid of mice is difficult, especially if you do not want to kill them. One safe way of getting rid of them humanely is by using peppermint oil.

Peppermint oil is a good deterrent for mice because it gives off a strong scent that drives them away. Their keen sense of smell cannot handle such strong odors such as peppermint and eucalyptus. By using even just a small amount of peppermint oil around your home, you will be making your home uninhabitable to rodents.
Use
Soak a cotton ball liberally with peppermint oil and place wherever you see mice droppings or where you suspect a mouse has been. You also can add two teaspoons of the oil to a cup of water in a spray bottle for quick fixes. The peppermint oil works to deter mice for as long as the scent remains so the oil will need replacing every few weeks.
Considerations
While peppermint oil does help to deter mice, it also has medicinal benefits as well. Inhaling steam from heated peppermint oil helps to clear the nasal passages and clear up any sinus problems. Message the oil on your stomach to help digestive problems. Drinking peppermint tea also will help any stomach issues.
